We have 7 days baby and having jaundice, report says 13.4. Going through treatment in hospital. Does the Mother has to follow any diet. As the mother is not getting enough brestmilk, can she eat non-veg like lamb and prawns?

Thanks for posting the query on Modasta.

The mother should have a good nutritious diet with good amount of protein and vitamins. There is no harm in having a small quantity of non-veg including egg, lamb or prawns. Babies jaundice is not related to mother diet. Have a good amount of green leafy vegetables & fruits for vitamins.

    hope this clarifies your doubt.

    with regards,

    Doctor Team Modasta.
